August 2018~ Newsletter

On July 27, Blissful Yoga began our Shaktinanda 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course which is being led by myself, Parvati Victoria Goodwin and co-led by Mary Procacci. There are eight students on this intense journey of self-development asYoga is a course to the realization of the self.
On our first night, we discussed that there are actually Four Paths of Yoga. One of these paths is Karma Yoga. Karma Yoga is the path of selfless action. In Karma Yoga, we give selflessly to others without expecting anything in return and without attachment to the outcome.
Karma Yoga is said to be the quickest way to tame the ego and gain spiritual awareness.
August awakens us to enjoy the rest of Summertime! There’s plenty of sunshine and warm weather. Our local farmers are selling bountiful bunches of fresh fruits and vegetables to bring home and serve to our families and friends.
August 1 is halfway between the Summer Solstice and the Fall Equinox. It is a time to enjoy the fruits of our labor from the previous year and have fun in the warmth of the sun.
As we celebrate what we have, it’s also a perfect time to give back to others. School shopping will soon begin; however, there are many, many children who are in need of backpacks and school supplies. It’s hard to imagine being a child whose family cannot afford to purchase a backpack or school supplies.
With that in mind Blissful Yoga is participating in the Center for Family Services,
PROJECT BACKPACK.
This project will provide for children in need from Camden to Cape May to make sure all kids have a backpack for the new school year!

Blissful Yoga has a goal of collecting
111 backpacks
with school supplies.
Please help us by dropping off backpacks or school supplies at our studio before or after any yoga class on the schedule by August 18.
In addition, we are offering a Donation Based yoga class on Saturday, August 18 from 9-10:15 a.m. which will be taught by me.
YOUR SUPPORT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Karma Yoga, the Path of Selfless Devotion reminds me of one of my favorite poems,

Even

After

All this time

The sun never says to the earth,

“You owe

Me.”

Look

What happens

With a love like that,

It lights the

Whole Sky.

SACRED EMPOWERMENT MENTORINGcages.jpg

We hold memories, traumas, pleasures, secrets, desires, and wishes inside of our minds, some which have been lying dormant for years.
Yet our bodies remember and those memories are stored in our cells. If they are toxic, they cause dis-ease in the mind which eventually turns into a disease in the body.
However, once released in a safe and sacred way, we become free, like birds set out of a cage. Through this inner work, we learn to soar with faith, confidence and trust, knowing that we are sacred empowered beings capable of manifesting our deepest dreams and soul’s purpose.
Are you ready for your Highest Self to emerge?
Parvati Goodwin is available for deeper mentoring and support, empowering you to feel comfortable and strong in your body, learn how to deeply trust yourself, & walk in Sacredness AND Abundance.
